on eBay on December 5, 2007 as part of the

launch of Participant Productions, a social action campaign

Another review of Things We Lost In The Fire:

Nick Schager / Lessons Of Darkness

...a fierce, formidable performance from Benicio Del Toro.

...Del Toro conveys an awe-inspiring range of raw, naked emotions

that are all somehow amplified – rather than turned facile – by

his raft of quirky, crazy mannerisms.

In a recent interview, Bolivian casting director Rodrigo Bellot

talked about Guerrilla and The Argentine stating that Benicio

hired the directors for Guerrilla and The Argentine.

Because Benicio had purchased the rights to bring

Che to the big screen, he was the one who selected

Steven Soderbergh to direct both films.

"The project is Benicio's, he chose the director. He purchased

the rights seven years ago and wanted to work with Steven,

because of the relationship from Traffic…,'' recalled Bellot.

"Guerrilla and The Argentine are a mix of talent from around

the world, the money is Spanish, with a gringo director,

a Puerto Rican portraying "Che'' Guevara,

a Bolivian casting director… See what I'm talking about?

We are children of the world,'' he stated.
