Schedules for the filming of The Wolfman in Lacock

have been revealed to those living in the village.

Details revealed about the production include the use of

a smoke machine, which villagers will see billowing from

a set at 13 High Street and the use of a cooling system

and huge blocks of ice in the historic Tithe Barn, which will

pose as an ice house used for the storing of dead bodies.

Film crews will not be setting up a large street scene

in the High Street as was first proposed.

The filming will take place on one day, but the

preparation will stretch over 10 days in April and

will also include four days of clearing up afterwards.

Location manager Emma Pill has told villagers that traffic

will only be disturbed when cameras are actually rolling.

She said filming in the Tithe Barn will include the use

of two small genie booms and a lighting tower to

shine a light through the door.

A donation of £5,000 will be given to the village for the

filming and this will be split between the parish council

and the National Trust.

Filming The Wolfman in the Bourne Woods, in

Farnham, Surrey, requires forty caravans, a hundred

and twenty first unit crew and the construction of two

ginormous 'gypsy camps'. They are also building some

kind of house in the trees. Quite a large construction.

A note nearby says there will be a large blue screen

opposite for scenery replacement. They have been there

for weeks now and the weather has not been kind to them.

Lou Diamond Phillips said the following

about working in Guerrilla:

"I'm thrilled to be in it. I think it's going

to be an amazing film."

Mr. Phillips had to learn Spanish for his lines

in Guerrilla, which was quite a challenge, he said.

"I don't think I've been that nervous on a

film set since La Bamba," he said.

In an interview with Empire, producer Scott Stuber

said the following:

EMPIRE:

How did you entice Benicio Del Toro to this?

He's not generally a blockbuster man.

SCOTT STUBER:

Benicio's a huge Wolfman fan. He's kind of the

origin of this thing. The Wolfman is one of his

favourite movies of all time - he's got Wolfman

memorabilia all over his house. He's just someone

who has a real passion for this. I think what's great

about the Wolfman is that he's a complex character;

he's not just a guy who has a superpower and runs

around with it. He's a tortured soul. The 'superpower'

of the Wolfman is damning to your soul, it's not freeing.

A superpower is usually something that sets you free,

like letting you fly or giving you X-ray vision, and giving

you something that people dream about. The Wolfman's

extreme power damns his soul. That's a great complex

character to play and that's what gives Benicio a lot

of opportunity to do different things as an actor.

EMPIRE:

What has he been filming so far?

SCOTT STUBER:

We've seen some great stuff. We're about three weeks

into production and we're currently doing night shoots

on some of our killings. There have been some really

fun sequences. It's kind of early, but there's some really

terrific stuff with he and Emily and he and Anthony.

Hugo Weaving plays a Scotland Yard detective who's

on his trail and there's some great third act stuff with

him getting ready to go find our man.

During an interview with Periodista Latino,

actor Cristian Esquivel talked a little bit

about his role in Guerrilla.

Mr. Esquivel said that he was chosen to play

Mario Teran, the man who killed Che Guevara,

because the filmmakers thought that they looked

very much alike.  He also said that he plays in one

of the most difficult scenes in the film, the killing of Che.

When asked about how it was to work with Benicio

and to be directed by Steven Soderbergh, Mr. Teran

replied:  "What remains is the experience, it´s extraordinary.

I remember the last scene, Benicio was in front of me and

Soderbergh was between us, in the middle, it´s the scene

in which Guevara is killed. These moments are unforgettable.

The experience is unique. One would like to work with Benicio...

It´s a matter of good luck to get roles like these where you

share scenes with such important people. That´s amazing."

More reviews about Benicio's performance

in Things We Lost In The Fire:

Dean Winkelspecht / DVDtown.com

Snubbed. Benicio del Toro was completely snubbed

by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

for the 2007 Academy Awards. His performance should

have been an odds-on favorite to take home the coveted

Oscar for Best Actor, but the incredibly talented actor didn´t

receive as much as a nomination from the Academy.

I´ve seen all of the performances that contained Best Actor

nominated performances and don´t feel that any of them

came close to the work done by del Toro in portraying a

caring man saddled with a heavy burden of drug addiction and

the loss of his best friend; the only man who cared much of

anything for him. This was the finest performance of the year

and I´m just amazed that Benicio del Toro was snubbed.

Clydefro Jones / DVD Times

Del Toro is comparatively commanding as Jerry...

The actor throws up a few method tics and milks a showy

heroin withdrawal scene, but he remains superb in the more

challenging normal portions of the role, demonstrating the

worn look of a man chasing his tail despite knowing

full well he's never going to catch it.
