The Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 23rd Goya Awards has nominated Benicio in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category for his role in The Argentine and Guerrilla.

On January 1, 2009 ONLY, selected cinemas across the United Kingdom are offering the chance to see The Argentine and Guerrilla as a double bill.
The January 1st double bill will be the only chance the public gets to see both films together in the UK.

The four and a half hours "roadshow" of The Argentine and Guerrilla is opening today for one week in Los Angeles and New York City.
Steven Soderbergh will appear for an opening night Q&A in New York, while Benicio and Laura Bickford will appear at the Los Angeles opening.
Those presentations, at the Ziegfeld in New York and the Landmark in Los Angeles, will feature a printed program guide to be distributed at each screening and will also be presented digitally utilizing DCP Projection. There will be no trailers or commercials played prior to the screenings.
Run time for Part 1: 129 minutes and Part 2: 128 minutes with a 30 minute intermission.
In New York, there will also be an exhibition of cast portraits taken by Mary Ellen Mark.
CHE will re-open on January 9, 2009 in New York and Los Angeles as two separate admissions titled Che Part 1: The Argentine and Che Part 2: Guerrilla.

The films will also be shown today as a special presentation at the Karl Marx theater.

The Argentine and Guerrilla will be shown today at 6 PM at the Byron Carlyle Cinema, located at 500 71st Street, in Miami Beach. Benicio will attend the event, along with Rodrigo Santoro and Santiago Cabrera.
After the screening of two films, a party will be held at the Raleigh Hotel, at 1775 Collins Avenue.
A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow.

The book "Che: The Diaries of Ernesto Che Guevara" is being released as a movie tie-in to The Argentine and Guerrilla.
Like the films, this book is based upon two releases: The Bolivian Diary and Reminiscences of the Cuban Revolutionary War, both compilations of Guevara's writings.
