México. - El actor hollywoodense Benicio del Toro, quien ha destacado a través de películas como Licence to Kill, Sin City y Traffic, prepara maletas para viajar a Veracruz con la intentión de protagonizar la cinta Guerrilla, que se basará en la vida de Ernesto "Che" Guevara de la Serna, quien vivió en nuestro país.  La cinta será dirigida por Steven Soderbergh.

Será para el próximo mes de noviembre cuando se desarrollará el rodaje en el bello puerto mexicano, aunque ya se realizaron algunas filmaciones en las oficinas de la ONU (Organización de Nacionales Unidas).

Para el rodaje en nuestro país, será durante el mes de julio cuando dará inicio la pre-producción, y se habla de que podriá integrarse al filme el actor español Antonio Banderas, quien por esas fechas también estará en Varacruz para iniciar el rodaje de Conquistador, cinta en la que encarnará a Hernán Cortés, antes de regresar a los Estados unidos para sus ensayos en la obra teatral que representará en Broadway.

Benicio del Toro, a quien también recordamos por sus apariciones en series tel.visivas como miami Vice y en otras cintas como Money for Nothing y Hevos de Oro, además de 21 Gramos (bajo la dirección de González Iñarritu), encarnará al célebre personaje que ha sido interpretado ya en diversas ocasiones en el cine en diversas etapas de su vida.

De esta forma, el estado de Veracruz se apresta a recibir otra súper producción, que por supuesto dejará buena derrama económica y recurrirá ala utilización de técnicos mexicanos, así como de actores y extras que darán vida a esta historia que seguramente será del interés general, contando también con las actuaciones de Yul Vázquez, rené Lavan y Javier Bardem.

Benicio del Toro gets ready to play "Che"
